I’ve loved being a nurse. After starting as a staff RN BSN at a San Diego teaching hospital, I sought experiences and education for diverse roles — from research to critical care, from pulmonary rehab to parish nurse.
My advanced education credentials include a Master’s of Science in Nursing (MSN) as well as certifications for Adult Nurse Practitioner, Critical Care RN, Legal Nurse Consultant, and Parish Nurse.
My faith, education, and experience brought me to where I am today: traveling the USA in a motorhome with my beloved husband, providing health advice and information through the lens of a Christian nurse.
“Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s” (1 Corinthians 6:19-20 NKJV).

High blood pressure is the leading risk factor for global mortality.
As alarming as that is, know this: By lowering your numbers early on, you can reduce your risk of the devastating consequences of high blood pressure. However, if left untreated, hypertension (the medical term for high blood pressure) will increase your risk of heart disease, vascular disease, kidney failure, vision loss, and yes, even death. In fact, each 20-point rise above 115 in the higher number (the systolic number), doubles your risk of death from heart disease or stroke!
